JOIN ME FOR ONLINE PRACTICE (BREATH - LOVE - MEDITATE)

The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’.
Yoga practice leads to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness, indicating a perfect harmony between the mind - body & nature, leading to harmonious personal relationships. Yoga postures are much more than just physical exercises. Learning to face fears and challenges beyond comfort with a sense of peace and gentleness, and finding psychological balance, will all help us overcome our inner limitations.
ABOUT YOGA
YOGA is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is an art and scince of healthy living. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’.

Yoga practice leads to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness, indicating a perfect harmony between the mind and body & nature.

Yoga postures are much more than just physical exercises. Learning to face fears and challenges beyond comfort with a sense of peace and gentleness, and finding psychological balance, will all help us overcome our inner limitations.

Yoga improves your health, gives you mental and physical strength, protects you from injury, detoxifies your body and helps you to lose weight. Yoga also helps you to create a strong and flexible body, glowing beautiful skin and gives you peace of mind. Yoga is often understood as only being a series of asanas (yoga poses).

As such, its benefits are only perceived to be at the body level, and we fail to realise the immense benefits yoga offers in uniting the body and mind through breath. Yoga and meditation have the power to improve your intuitive ability so that you spontaneously realise what needs to be done, when and how, to yield positive results. It does work! You only need to experience it yourself.

Remember, Yoga is a continuous process. So keep practicing! The deeper you go into your yoga practice, the more profound will be its benefits. When you are in harmony, the journey through life is calmer, happier and more fulfilling. You will be living with greater awareness, intuition, better relationships, better flexibility & posture and increased energy.

ASHTANGA YOGA
ONE TO ONE OR GROUPS

is a very old yoga system whose history dates back to when there was only one yoga - Maha Yoga. That's when our modern world came up with pleasing names and different styles that are more or less functional.

Ashtanga means "eight limbs" in Sanskrit, which refers to the eight limbs of yoga laid out in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The Yoga sutra defines yoga as ''The quieting of the mind'' YOGAS CHITTA-WRITTI- NIRODHA (only with calm mind can the true nature of existence be realised).

The Ashtanga method stresses daily vinyasa flow practice using ujjayi breathing, mula bandha, uddiyana bandha, and drishti. There are six different Ashtanga series, through which a student progresses at his or her own pace.

PRANAYAMA - BREATH TECHNIQUES

Pranayama is the 4th limb of the eightfold path of yoga. Prana is the vital life force and energy that runs through our body. This beautiful energy is constantly flowing through us, and through all living beings. Prana (breath) sustaining the body; Yama (control) translates as "to extend or draw out." Together mean breath control (or extension). The breath is the only function in the body that reveals your unconscious emotional, mental and physical patterns. We can heal and transform these patterns once we choose to recognise them :-)

MINDFULNESS RELAXATION

ONE TO ONE OR GROUPS

Mindfulness is taking notice of how your body feels and what you see, smell and taste. Maybe you even feel emotions in your body, perhaps through a tightness somewhere, or a good sensation. Mindfulness is also noticing what your mind is doing. What happens when you start noticing these experiences? Mindful Yoga is different from many traditional yoga practices in that there is less of a focus on the exact posture achieved and more focus on body/mind awareness. Special Note: If these movements are too challenging, and trying to do them, even with modifications, is painful or harmful, there are a number of good options.
