YOGA & MASSAGE PACKAGE

I offer a private yoga session and massage treatment in one package to fully relax your body, mind and spirit.

PRACTICAL INFO

  • It is recommended not eat for 1 to 2 hours before the massage.

  • For combined yoga session I can arrange for you mats, blocks, belts.

  • You will simply need comfortable clothes, barefoot is recommended.

TYPES OF MASSAGES

HOLISTIC

Holistic massage is an ancient method of healing that clears the lymphatic drainage system and releases toxins from the body. By recognizing that illness and stress affects not only our physical but also our emotional, spiritual and mental well-being, holistic massage allows the body's natural healing abilities to come forth and balance the entire body as a whole. Holistic Massage therapy is one of the oldest methods of healthcare in practice today.

Massage therapy aims to improve blood circulation, increasing the flow of nutrients and eliminating waste products to name but a few. Massage is the recent name for the ancient-established art of healing by touch. Massage is calming and soothing. It improves our sense of well-being, and reduces the levels of cortisol - the body’s stress hormone. It also strengthens the immune system by bringing more white blood cells into the circulation system, and this in turn helps to fight infection. It also improves joint mobility, releases muscle tension, helps eliminate toxins and assists in tension release.

Massage can reduce your heart rate, relax your muscles, improve range of motion in your joints and increase production of your body's natural pain killers. It helps relieve stress and anxiety.

REIKI

​The Japanese healing art of Reiki has similar practical purposes: to increase and free the unbalanced energy flow in the body. But while massage is more vigorous and manipulates the muscles, Reiki uses only touch and sometimes merely the proximity of the healer’s hands to particular parts of the body, using 12 to 20 prescribed hand positions, depending on the training tradition. Today there is a hybrid treatment, known as Reiki massage.

THAI 

Thai massage is new to modern SPAs, but it is actually an ancient form of massage thought to have been developed by Buddhist monks in Thailand 2,500 years ago. It uses passive stretching and gentle pressure along the body’s energy lines to increase flexibility, relieve muscle and joint tension, and balance the body’s energy systems. Because Thai massage is done fully clothed, some people recommend it if you feel uncomfortable with the nudity or draping. However, Thai massage is not the best choice for first-time spa-goers. Why? First, you're going to be lying on a futon with a therapist crouched over you, pressing on your legs, just to start. They might use the weight of their body to move your body into various positions to achieve passive stretching.

 

A lot of what the therapist does is unusual and unexpected — and you have to feel comfortable enough with bodywork that you can relax while they're doing it. If taking off your clothes to get a Swedish massage is an issue, try reflexology — the therapist is working just on your feet, but the benefits are felt throughout the body.
